Problems With Exodus And Other Addons – Try This

Kodi exodus not working?, if you are having problems with Exodus addon and or if any other Kodi Addon is not working. Here is a list of fixes to try:

Note : You will now see less HD links on Kodi 16 and below, In Kodi 17 you have more chance of HD links due to the links using SSL which is only supported on Kodi 17

FIRST: Make sure your ISP is not blocking the links. (very common especially with sly broadband and in the UK)

(to test this the easiest way – other then take your device to family or friends house), try kodi on a phone or tablet and try the exact same links via 3G/4G, If the streams work then you have an internet or ISP problem! and will need a VPN)

If it works on 3G/4G try the below router settings:

TV SHOWS or MOVIES MISSING TRY THE VIDEO BELOW – PS: The video says press right BUT you actually have to press to the LEFT!

IF ABOVE IS OKAY MOVE ONTO MAIN FIX

MAIN FIX (tried and tested) Movies &/or TV shows are not showing any providers  = You MUST uninstall Exodus or Any other problem addon (REBOOT), then reinstall Exodus (or any other problem addon) from correct repo

AFTER MAIN FIXTools or menu items missing: If menu is not showing correctly simply go into the addons configuration and UPDATE the addon (even though it is the correct version), it will update and fix the menus.

NOTE: If you are using a PC or Laptop, try to disable your Anti Virus Software or allow exceptions if it allows you to

For Wrong Episode / If wrong Episodes play:

In Exodus go to Tools/Providers.

Disable Afdah and reboot and try again.

If it still doesn’t work then disable in this order, MoviesHD (reboot try again), Torba (reboot try again) lastly Ymovies (reboot and try again)

Problems seem to be caused by the above providers

 

If you can no longer see Movie/TV information:

Make sure you change the settings from thumbnail to media info or fanart etc (upon update your view may have reverted to thumbnail and you no longer see movie/tv information)

If you only see video from 1970:

Make sure the Time & Date is set correctly in your kodi box and that your internet is active.

To fix any other issues:

Option 1:

  • open Kodi
  • click on System, settings, addons, video addons
  • select Exodus
  • click UPDATE
  • Follow the prompts
  • Wait for Add-on UPDATE notification

 

Option 2:

  • open Kodi
  • Open Exodus
  • select Tools
  • Select CLEAR Providers
  • & Select CLEAR Cache
  • Close REBOOT KODI

Option 3: (FRESH START –  LAST RESORT)

  • Try Fresh Start clean up your kodi installs:
    • Open Kodi
    • Select SYSTEM > File Manager > Add Source > None
    • Type the following EXACTLY as you see it: https://www.yourkodi.com/repo and select Done
    • Highlight the box underneath Enter a name for this media Source & type yourkodi & select OK
    • Go back to your Home Screen
    • Select SYSTEM > Add-Ons > Install from zip file
    • Select yourkodi
    • Select plugin.video.freshstart-1.0.5.zip
    • Wait for enabled notification
    • Select PROGRAM add-ons
    • Select Fresh Start
    • Wait for Add-on enabled notification

    (YOU WILL LOSE ALL PREVIOUS SETTINGS)

  1. I try to play a movie or tv show on exodus and it shows the working spinning circle then it abruptly stops. I use firestick I’ve done a fresh start and it still does same. Can u help me plz? Thank you kindly, Javi

      • My phone is updated to the newest version, but my laptop will not show the new update. It only offers the version I already have, and I cant open any movies. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

          • In the Exodus menu pictured up above, when I click on Tools I can do nothing in that menu. I click on the various options and nothing happens. I’m trying to create a download folder so I can download movies to my firestick.

        • Hi the addon is great at times but DOES have a tendency to display a new movie as available yet it will not play a stream of it (because it doesnt actually have it) it also sometimes displays information correctly.

  3. So I am not getting any content to load in any category except “people watching”… I’ve removed both Exodus then Kodi then both again at the same time; cleared the cache and providers lists and rebooted… I am getting no content…from any years…..

      • I’ve reinstalled exodus and went through all the steps outlined in the link but I’m still not getting the newest version. It says I’m up to date but I only have 2.0.2

  4. The movie page is working fine and updated, but when I go to any tv channel they all show exactly the same content. I verified I am running the newest version and I also went in and manually updated it anyway.

      • Thanks for the response. I tried it and it’s still the same. I am running exodus on two gboxes,two tablets and a laptop running windows. They all have the same results that the channels all show the same content.I Uninstalled it on a tablet and then reinstalled and it didn’t change.I can watch what want but I have to search for it. Maybe new update will fix it. Not a big deal. I can wait.

  5. Just installed the update all the TV networks not working. If I open a tv network it shows non specific tv shows, If I open a diferent TV network it will show the same list of shows.

      • Thanks for your answer, updating to 204 did fix the TV network problem, but now I have the same problem as carrie there are no streams or providers, the only one that appears is torba but it asks for a subscription. I have done the clear providers and cache to no avail, hop this gets fixed. Cheer’s

All the other addons work with out a problem,no problems with my internet connection, my time and date are also correct, I have cleared providers and cache and rebooted and I only get torba or nothing at all, It seems only to have the problem with the TV content I have just tried to see a film and I do get at least 8 providers and it works.   6. I am having the same problem on a firestick. I upgraded to 2.0.3, and using the Chief build, I cleared cache both for Kodi and within the Chief build. But, when I select “TV Shows”, “Networks”, all of the networks I can select show the same content from different networks (“Stranger Things”, “Game of Thrones”, “Mr. Robot”, “The Night Of”, “The Walking Dead”, “Orange is the New Black,” etc.). The “Movies” selection seems to be working fine.

    • I was able to fix the problem by going in Kodi to Sytem then Add-ons then System then then dependencies then URLResolver open URLResolver then configure in configure press reset function cache and that did the trick hope it works.

  10. I’m fairly new to kodi. I’ve installed the spinz version and have had it for about 2 months. The latest Exodus I have is 2.0.5 when I click on movies then exodus, I will get “working” in the top right corner but it wont go beyond that. I get no lists at all anymore. Is this something that may have happened when 2.0.5 came out? Is there a fix?

  16. There are posting all over the internet indicating Exodus 2.0.7 has been released, but yet, everywhere I looked, there is actually not download of 2.0.7 available. I have tried doing the Kodi Exodus update, actually gone through the Fusion tool to attempt the update, but yet to no avail have I been successful in getting the Exodus 2.0.7 update. Anyone know the link where I can get the 2.0.7 build?

    • Sometimes you just have to wait until the update is pushed, make sure you have the repo and no rubbish build or loaded box etc.

      also try via the fusion installer and if you have a faulty version uninstall it first.

  17. Myself and SEVERAL other Exodus users are having the same issue….We are just 1(one) page on the TV/Networks section. This started right after the OTHER Network issue was fixed by ver 2.0.5. I can’t believe that this has not more widely posted.

    The next page icon works in EVERY other section of exodus….most voted, most viewed, searches…etc etc… if it was any other the issues you stated then the next page icon would be missing completely, but it is only missing in the TV/Network section.

  19. I have no audio when trying to watch any tv show or movie. The only think I can hear is the navigation when i’m scrolling. I have a samsung smart tv with a samsung sound bar. Any advice?

    • check the audio settings in your addon. it needs to be set correctly hdmi 2.0 etc

  20. no matter what I try, I cant get download option to show for sources. I have autoplay disabled, download option enabled, both movie and tv folders set (and have tried many different locations). This is on an amazon fire. I can download from SALTS, so I think its add-on related. Any ideas? Im on 2.0.8

  23. Was having less and less success with exodus over past few weeks. Update said I was up to date but was only on 1.3.7. Surfing and found up to 2.0.9 now. Had to uninstall and reinstall to get latest. A couple things are fixed now. I have other movie lists besides Peoole Watching. My using for TV shows is worse than before. Episodes a few weeks old used to have 30-40 sources. Now might have 2 or 3 and these rarely work.

  26. I started a movie, saw it was really poor quality and stopped it. Tried again and now it always chooses that crappy version. I want to try a different selection but it keeps bringing up the same one regardless of which steam I choose.

  28. I tried clearing the cache and providers. Still new episodes would not update as of Oct. 4. Date and time are on point. I then did a fresh start and fusion install and now new episodes won’t even show. It says working then goes away and does nothing. If I search the show and look for new episodes it will give them for me. But the menu option for new episodes is NOT WORKING. PLEASE HELP !!!

  29. Exodus completely not working. Whenever I select anything the “working” wheel spins for way to long then finally it goes to the selection. When I choose a movie or show it loads to almost 50% then it says no steams available no matter what movie or show I choose. I can not watch anything and have tried resetting, fresh start, etc., nothing is working.

  30. I can not get exodus to work, I tried clearing the cache in the tools menu and it still does not work. I even used xfinity to clear the cache. Everytime I click on some show or movie it just says working and then nothing. On my laptop it works fine, even on my phone. I have the latest versions installed.

  32. I am on a macbook pro and have kodi 16.1 installed. I did a fresh start to fix my problem and still a no go. After the fresh start the only thing I installed was the add on installer then Exodus. When I lauch Exodus I just get an empty window. The only thing in the window is an up directory arrow. I get no menus, no nothing. I also have kodi installed on a Raspberry Pi 2 and Exodus runs fine on that. Not sure why I’m having problems on my mac.

  33. Try searching and playing any episode from House Hunters International for example. All attempts return “No Stream Available” on anyone’s Kodi install that I have tried. This use to work fine along with a lot of other content that no longer has streams available.

  34. I have version 2.0.12 and sometimes when I select a movie or show to watch, everything freezes (no commands or remote will work, it’s completely stuck) forcing me to unplug my pi3 power source. I have uninstalled Exodus, reinstalled, rebooted, cleared cache and sources, rebooted, ensured my time and date is correct, rebooted, yet the issue continues to occur. Please help!!!!

  36. The ‘New Episodes’ option no longer working. Have tried clearing cache, clearing providers, uninstalling exodus and reinstalling…..all to no avail?

    This happened once before and a simple uninstall and reinstall fixed the issue, but today I have tried to reinstall multiple times and the issue is still happening.

    I check if everything is up to date and it is, so just wondering what else I can do???

    • It is advisable to have kodi on 2 devices and see if it happens on both.

      Sometimes an update will break something and sometimes not, the Dev is constantly try to make it better.

      Also try to manually search for an episode and you will see that it works that way for now.

  38. Since last night’s update of Exodus I haven’t been able to call up Trakt Manager or get any response from the Episodes option in the Android version of Kodi.
    Choosing the options gets no response at all.
    The Watchlist and Collection is still there though. Although as usual the Watchlist shows only a limited number of those I’ve selected.

  39. Hi. I had problems with my libreelec Krypton isntallation so I setup kodi completely new on my RPi3. Installing Exodus works fine but first of all, I cannot connect my trakt account. When I click authorization, the window will dissapear and shortly after come back with no authorisation. It doenst even get to the point where it asks for authorization.
    Further Problem if searching for a tv show (eg game of thrones). No search result. I see the wheel for progressing but as soon as it disappears, it jumps back to the window where I can chose the search options

    Tried to reset provider and cache many times, reinstalled kodi and the addon itself but nothing fixing the issue

  40. My Exodus is not working on 1 of my 2 devices since October 31st, 2016. I have the latest version on both. When I try to search for a show or movie (a show or movie watched on working box) no results are found. My “collections” list no longer has the shows I’ve saved to it. I’ve tried clearing the cache, clearing the providers, and I’ve also uninstalled and reinstalled Exodus and nothing works. I’d also like to note that this same issue is also occurring on Genesis on the same device. I’m new to the world of Android boxes (box bought 2 weeks ago) and I’m not sure what else to do.

    I’m not sure if anyone else has this problem, as not read ALL the comments. But I’m on Exodus 2.0.18 and every single film (even ones I’ve watched in the past) is coming up ‘No Stream Available’. Even really old films I can’t get.

    I’ve cleared the cache and even completely removed Kodi, but still have same problem. I’m just wondering if anyone has any ideas?

    Internet connection seems okay as I can get tv shows and live sports on sportsdevil, but this is my only problem.

  46. Hi there. I am using Kodi 17 beta 5 and can not update Exodus to 2.0.20. The addon installer just shows 2.0.18 which is installed. Direkt update from exodus repository iso giving dependencies error. Tried to install new but just 18 is installed. What can I do though? Any idea?

  48. My exodus will open, then, when I click on a movie or a season of a tv show, it takes me back to the home screen.

    For instance, I can go on exodus and click ‘tv shows’. Then ‘The Walking Dead’. Then ‘Season 7’. Then it will pull up the episodes from season 7 for a split second, then I get kicked back to the homescreen. I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling and updating, but it had no effect.

    Suggestions?

  50. Hi, using Exodus to watch game of thrones, comes up with seasons and 10 episodes in each. However, when selecting, say episode 5 it only ever plays episode 1 on any season. Any ideas?

  51. Source list does not appear when loading anything. It runs thru all the providers in the upper right hand corner of the screen but chooses one itself for me. I don’t get the option of who to use. I’ve done all the things you recommended. Is this in settings?

    • You have autoplay selected in exodus settings. Just turn it off and you will be able to choose your links

Followed your option 1 everything working fine now & I’ve even added some addons as well. I am not technically in any way so feeling very pleased with myself.     movies works perfectly, but in tv shows each time i enter in something, i only see the tv shows i have myself in my bibliotec. i already donne everything in the page to solve errors, and re installet the addon, and actualized. (it happens the same in zen movies works, tv shows no)

  55. I have been using exodus for ages but in the last couple of days it has stopped working on my Amazon fire stick. On my stick it doesn’t even bring up any movies or anything when I click on something. It shows that it is trying to find the movies then nothing happens. The app works when I try on my phone with WiFi and 4g but just doesn’t work on the stick. Please help me

  57. I have an amazon fire stick with kodi/exodus installed. Exodus recently will not let me view any movies between 1970 and 2017. I have confirmed that I can view movies from 1970 and 2017 but everything else just seems to spin and then stops. I have updated kodi and exodus to the newest versions and uninstalled exodus and reinstalled it but nothing worked. Can you tell me if there is something I am missing? Thanks.

  59. I absolutely love exodus but all the providers that were there are just gone…and ive done all the possible fixes minus starting completely over with rejuvenating kodi…please tell me there is something else i can do or or should i just start over?

  60. I have tried all of these fixes, just got kodi 17.1 krypton. Exodus was working for the past week on it and stopped working out of the blue. Now when i click on any menu option it does nothing, no movies come up no tv shows. nothing is working i can only get to the page after tv shows or movies, then when i try to get into “in theaters” or any other one it just pretends like its going to work then nothing happens. I have tried everything, now what!

  61. I was having so many problems with Exodus after after uninstalling and reinstalling Kodi. I finally came across this site and tried the Kodi rejuvenate via indigo. I am back in action and Exodus is as good as ever. Can’t wait to see what Lambda has in store for us in the future. I am almost tech illiterate so sites like this are super helpful. Thanks for such detailed instruction!!!!

  62. Yesterday I accidentally cleared the data for the kodi and it deleted everything. I tried restoring the datable but couldn’t figure it out so I downloaded exodus again. Now exodus will not work. It says it’s working down in the corner of the screen but does not load anything. I am at a loss.

  63. Hi My next page icon has disappeared and i have tried clearing cache and re installing exodous. Therefore we get just one page to select from everything else works fine. How can i get the next page icon back working at the bottom of the thumbnails. mxq box and jarvis 16.1.

  65. Can’t load tv shows. I can load anything else such as movies but it’ll stop every 2 minutes for tv shows. I’ve tried updating.

  66. What happend to the onemovie, putlockers and ymovies links? why are they all gone on Exodus? Those where the only ones I used.

    • They are all working fine under kodi 17 dues to SSL, you are probably using kodi 16 in which case they will never work again

  69. So if your addon is only good for 5.0 and higher….what other addons would you recommend to use for tv shows because I’m getting so frustrated knowing I will need a new box

  70. I just got my fire stick, downloaded kodi, but when I go to fusion.tvaddons.ag then to zip file there’s nothing There for exodus. I dont know what I’m doing wrong. Please help

  71. I am so lost and confused. I rebooted and reloaded kodi, the new krypton 17 . something… with top recommended add-ons; Exodud, Neptune Rising, Poseidon, Placenta, Covinent. Movies are not playing what is listed. Movies in theaters are not playing the listed title. This is a problem no matter what add-on I am using.

  72. I have the exodus program downloaded, however there is only 1 page of movies that I can choose from.
    For example, If i open the most popular page, I would only find 1 page of movies and no next page button.

    i feel like i am the only one whose having this problem .
    My exodus is working but i dont have any next page that i can click on. But when i go to search i am able to found the shows that i wanna watch. But still no next page option. I try to uninstall Exodus but same problem here!

    Please tell me you seen that before !
